Abstract

In the context of new teaching modalities, where students are expected to take an active role in their learning process, classroom proposals should seek alternatives by proposing instances of real student participation that promote discussion and reflection. This paper describes a classroom experience using mobile phones, with the purpose of exploring and discussing with students the use of social networks by different information units. For the activity is taken as input the production of entries in various social networks of libraries and information units at national and international level. Students select and comment on some of these examples, the discussion is given in small groups and then moved to the whole class, generating a new instance of discussion between peers with teacher's moderation.
